What's the Big Idea, Ben Franklin

Ben Franklin may be Pennsylvania's most famous citizen.

And Jean Fritz may be one of chidren's best history authors.

What's the Big Idea, Ben Franklin?

What's the Big Idea, Ben Franklin by Jean Fritz is just one of her many picture books depicting the lives of famous Americans.

From his childhood in Boston, his inventing years in Philadelphia, and his elderly years in Europe, she manages to describe a busy life in ways a child can relate to. What child isn't fascinated with the idea of being pulled across a lake by a kite, or watching ants come to a pot of molasses or being knocked unconscious during an experiment to kill a turkey with electricity.

What's the Big Idea, Ben Franklin is a simple introduction to a man who impacted our country.
