Mircles on Maple Hill
Marly was looking for Miracles on Maple Hill. Her family needed a miracle. Her dad had come home from the war and imprisonment after they never expected to see him alive. But the war had affected him greatly. Mom thought it would do them all good to leave Pittsburgh and visit Grandma's farm, where she once spent the summers.
Set in the time after World War 2, this is a story of Pennsylvania's countryside. Cooking off maple syrup, discovering a fox den, milking goats, and finding wildflowers were some of the city children's discoveries.
While God is not given the credit, Miracles on Maple Hill reminded me of the wonderful world God created in our state. The book made me want to take my children for a walk in Penn's Woods!
